AM dressmaking course in English – DME

Start date: January 15, 2026 | Thursdays from 9 AM to 12 PM | 4 x 3 hours
Course fee: 52 000 HUF
Sew your first garment during this fun Thursday morning class!
This course is for you if you already know how to sew with a sewing machine and would like to learn to use sewing patterns and the basics of making clothes. Have you always planned to learn to sew and make your own clothes? During this course, you will learn how to take measurements, how to select and trace sewing patterns, make basic adjustments based on your size and cut the fabric, then assembling a simple item of clothing (blouse, top or dress, or simple shirt). Depending on the chosen style, you will learn how to sew shaping seams and darts, how to sew in a zipper, create the hem of the garment, and work on the neckline. We provide the tools, including the sewing machine and overlocker, but you have to purchase the fabric and the color-matched thread if needed individually after choosing the pattern.
Steady sewing machine skills needed. If you don’t know how to use the sewing machine, or can’t sew with a 1 cm seam allowance, or don’t know yet what a seam allowance means, please sign up for the beginner course instead. Also, if your English is not proficient, it will be hard to follow the pace of the course.
If you need help purchasing the fabric, let us know and we will take care of it.
Class will meet on Thursdays from 9 AM to 12 PM for four weeks, starting January 15 through February 5. Day-passes are available at 13 000 Ft for each session if you cannot make all four dates. If additinal classes are needed, we can arrange them at the same cost.
