Beginner Sewing Course in English – BSE
Dates: October 6 – 27, 2026 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM | 4 x 3 hours on Tuesdays
Course fee: 54 000 Ft
This course is perfect for complete beginners who would like to learn sewing from scratch in a small, friendly group. No previous sewing experience is needed. You will learn how to use a sewing machine, understand the basic sewing tools and techniques, and create simple and useful items, such as:
- pencil case
- drawstring bag
- shopping bag
- zippered pouch
The course starts on Tuesday October 6, 2026. from 6 PM to 9 PM. Following dates are: October 13, 20, 27.
Sewing machine and tools are provided, but you need to purchase your fabric. If you would like, I can pick up fabric for you. You will need approximately 2 meters of coordinating cotton canvas in prints or solids.
Course fee is 54 000 HUF for the 12 hour course. Cost of the optional fabric kit is 6 500 HUF.
Your sewing instructor will be Zsuzsi Víg, founder of Stitch Budapest, Fashion Institute of Technology graduate, fashion expert with over 15 years industry experience.
The course is taught entirely in English, so no Hungarian language knowledge is required. To make sure everyone can participate comfortably, please use English during class. The class size is limited to 5 people max.
