Sewing trousers | Intermediate course in English – STIC
Start Date: 2021. February 14, SUNDAY 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM | 4 x 3 hours on Sundays
One of the most important piece in our wardrobe is a great pair of trousers. Do you have a hard time finding the shape, size or fit that suits you?
During this four week course we will sew a comfortable, classic pair of trousers based on your custom sewing pattern, which you will be able to use to make many other pieces at home.
Sewing Knitwear / Elastics | Leggings & T-shirt – SKE
Start Date: 2021. March 20, SATURDAY 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM – Leggings & T-Shirt
Let’s start with learning about knitwear fabrics: What does jersey, futter, spandex, lycra, elastane, passé, punto mean?
How to work with elastics? How to find the fiber direction of an elastic material?
How to calculate the elasticity of stretch fabrics?Learn to use the serger and make a pair of leggings and a T-shirt.
Getting to know your sewing machine
| Intro Sewing Workshop – ISW
Date: 2021. March 22, MONDAY 6 PM to 8 PM
Learn how to use the sewing machine and make your own items from now on!
You already have a sewing machine, but you can’t seem to figure it out on your own? You may have just started shopping for one but need to find out more before making up your mind? Are you annoyed that you can’t repair or alter your clothes? Come to this two hour basic workshop and we will teach you how to use the sewing machine.
Fundamentals of Dressmaking – Beginner Sewing Course FOD
Start Date: 2021. April 10th 9:00 – 12:00

Have you been looking for a beginner sewing course in Budapest? This introductory course is for you if you want to learn basic sewing skills. Get to know the sewing machine, learn to thread and operate it, and learn how to properly measure yourself, select, modify and trace a sewing pattern, lay out, mark and cut fabric and walk through the steps of constructing a simple garment, such as a blouse or top.
Washable / Cloth Pad Sewing Workshop in English – CPW
Date: February 27, SATURDAY 3:00 PM – 19:00 PM
Learn to sew your own cloth pad during this 1 + 3 hour workshop at Stitch Budapest in English. We show you how to make basic washable menstrual pads step-by-step. You can pick your own fabric pattern and select your preferred size. You will get to know the materials used, the techniques and will be able to make more pads on your own.
BEGINNER QUILTING
Dates: 2021.
March 21st and 28th, SUNDAY 9:00 PM to 4:00 PM w/ 1 hour lunch break
Learn the fundamental techniques of quilting during this two days: basic blocks, assembly, sewing with an even 1/4 in seam allowance and assemble your quilt top. Learn to make a quilt sandwich, quilt with a walking foot, add binding, and complete your quilt.
QUILTED JACKET
| Advanced MasterClass
Start Date: 2021. April 11, SUNDAY 9:00 AM to 2 PM w/ 1 hour lunch break | 3 x 5 hours on Sundays
Design and create your own masterpiece, a fun and fashionable quilted jacket during this three week advanced course.
Individual and group private sewing lessons available

If you prefer to learn to sew in a private setting or would like to bring together friends for a fun group sewing experience, send me an email to set up a private course! In the past, we worked on various projects such as trousers, mens’ vest, dog clothes, and we had a group of five friends signing up to make eco-conscious houseware products together.
